Varun Sandesh Jeedigunta (Telugu: వరుణ్ సందేశ్) is a south Indian actor and singer who started his film career through Sekhar Kammula's film Happy Days. He was the youngest actor in that film (aged 19) when he was chosen to do the lead role of Chandu.[1] He hails from a Telugu family from New Jersey, USA.


Personal life

Varun is the grandson of famous Telugu writer Ramachandra Murthy, who worked for All India Radio for 28 years in Hyderabad, a well recognized voice through out AP during 1972 - 2000. He lives in USA with his parents and sister. Bridgewater, New Jersey is his hometown. His uncle Sridhar is a popular Telugu TV personality in Hyderabad, India.

Career

The Telugu film producer "Dil" Raju had signed Sandesh for his movie Kotha Bangaru Lokam before his debut movie Happy Days was released. Incidentally, Raju distributed Happy Days in all of Andhra Pradesh and the movie became a blockbuster. Kotha Bangaru Lokam, which was released on 9 October 2008, also drew full houses and was declared a blockbuster. Sandesh's third film was produced by the South Indian Film Production house AVM and is titled Evaraina Epudaina (Premalo Padocchu) . He also sang a song in Evaraina Epudaina and Maro Charitra.[2]
