Personal life

Jr. NTR is son of Nandamuri Harikrishna and Shalini, grand son of Andhra Pradesh's Former Chief Minister NTR. He finished his high school studies in Sri Vidyaranya School, Hyderabad. And moved to Vignan collge to complete intermediate. He discontinued in Vignan and came to Hyderabad due to mother's attachment. Jr. NTR's wedding was announced on Jan 28, 2010 with Narne Lakshmi Pranathi, daughter of Narne Srinivas Rao and Smt. Narne Mallika.NTR.Jr was engaged to Lakshmi Pranathi on 1 April 2010.[2]

He began his career as a child artist. his first movie he starred in was .Brahmarshi Viswamithra and then Bala Ramayanam, directed by Gunasekhar in 1996. Coincidentally, his character in the second movie was Lord Sri Rama, a role often played by his grandfather NTR. NTR first movie as a hero was "Ninnu choodalani" released in the year 2000.It was produced by RamojiRao under Ushakiron movies banner.Written off by critics in his first film, he made a striking comeback with the film Student No.1 which was released after 4 months. The movie went on to become an instant hit with both classes and masses. The next movie was 'Subbu' which is directed by Suresh Varma. However it was Aadi that catapulted him in to the big league. Suddenly the critics took notice of this wiry young man and opined that there are sparks of his grandfather in him. Aadi had stood as blockbuster of the year 2002. Aadi not only had created records, but also put him in the top league of actors. In January 2003, Tarak came up with Naaga; though the movie raised some worthy political issues, it bombed at the box-office. However, in July 2003, his movie Simhadri made Tarak and director Rajamouli as household names. It broke all the Telugu Film Industry records and became a milestone in NTR's career. Simhadri stabilized his status as the next mass hero of tollywood.

His 2004 release Andhrawala, was a disaster at the box office,[3] and the next movie Samba was a hit film.[3]

His next movie Rakhi, directed by Pasupuleti Krishna Vamsi, was a critically acclaimed movie. The next one was Yamadonga, which became a blockbuster. It has collected a share of 30 crores and it was the second highest grosser of telugucinema . Following Yamadonga, Jr. NTR's next film was Kantri, which was released on May 2008. Very high range of expectation, the film turned out to be an average flick with great box office collections of 22 crores share. Adhurs was released in January 2010,in which he played a dual role.which became a hit and collected 25 crores share at the boxoffice.

Jr. NTR was one of the star campaigners for the Telugu Desam Party, for the Indian general election, 2009 from April to May 2009 and attracted public and media.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10] His Voice and Walking style in election campaign resembles that of his grandfather Late Shri.Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao which created fear in all other political parties. He is know named as Yuva NataRatna.
